We cater for all driving interests: social drives, showing and horse driving trials. (Those new to carriage driving may find the explanations of types of events useful.) We also run training sessions and social and educational events.

Before you enter a Club event please read
- The safety page, covering grooms/backsteppers, helmets and body/back protectors.
- Novice or Open? We define a “SDHC Novice” in a slightly different way to the more formal criteria. Please check our guidance.

Caroline Douglas Training Clinics Caroline is a Light Harness Horse Instructor (LHHI) as well as BHS Intermediate Instructor, Private Drive and Attelage de
Tradition Judge. We have been holding clinics since December 2015 and we will continue over next winter. Sessions are 45 minutes. Spectators are VERY welcome; there is a lot to learn from each lesson, whether it is driven, ridden, singles, multiples, groundwork or a simple harness and carriage check.
Places are limited but a waiting list will be held in case of cancellations; these do happen, typically within the 10 days before the clinic so if you are available there is a good chance you will get a place.
Dates: are being fixed now for winter 2017/18. If you are interested, please contact Kayti.
