Following her talk on 11th October, on 17th October Caroline Douglas gave a demonstration at Shedfield Riding School (Hants).
Joanne Parrett writes
‘The Club organised a very successful talk and demonstration event with both driving and horse riders attending, showing the benefits of groundwork, in the form of lunging and long reining. These activities were explained and followed up by a demonstration.
Caroline Douglas (LHHI & BHS Intermediate Instructor), the instructor for both events, gave people an insight into the key aspects of both activities.
Both events attracted over 30 people to each, some who had travelled some way to hear the expertise offered by Caroline. The demonstration was held at a new venue for the Club (Shedfield Riding School).
Caroline brought along Pooh and Norman, who ably completed their tasks for the evening. Although a cold evening, all who came along thoroughly enjoyed the evening with some interesting questions asked by the audience. At the end of the evening some of the audience were asking whether the Club could organise a clinic in 2016 with Caroline. This will be discussed by the Committee in due course.
Thanks must go to Kayti Harvey, who organised the event, with the help on the evenings by fellow Committee members.’
