Groundwork Talk, Oct 15

Caroline Douglas, Light Harness Horse Instructor and BHS Intermediate Instructor explained why we work horses from the ground, describing in very simple language the biomechanics & benefits for the horse, different methods and when it is appropriate to use each one. Caroline explained the equipment she uses to get results, briefly discussed gadgets (she doesn’t use herself) and what she is looking for at each step. Held at Waltham Chase Village Hall.

Kayti Harvey writes:

“What a great evening with Caroline Douglas!

So much information in bite sized pieces, well presented and understandable. Caroline’s humour and kindness towards her horses is so evident and inspiring. The time flew passed AND we get to do this all again next weekend but with ponies too.

It looks like we’ll be organising some further events with Caroline – very much by popular demand of tonight’s audience!!

A big thank you to Jane Kempton & Joanne Parrett for helping with the refreshments and organising the hall!”
