Petworth Drive, June 15

“With eight turnouts booked in and wonderful weather this year for the Petworth Drive, made a very enjoyable day out for club members. Setting off on an afternoon drive, “Kim” led them around the beautiful scenic off road park routes and the Leconfield Etates. Although not able to participate this year I’m truly grateful to kim Tilbury for leading the drive and taken the time out to look at the route, even if my map was certainly an original style… The drive covered approximately 7 miles of grounds in glorious sunshine to return to the house for some photographs and light refreshments at the lorry park. Everyone was very pleased to tuck into some homemade cakes and sandwiches, thank you to Cherry Chidwick and Amanda Bazley for the much loved cakes! Organising the National Park drives takes some time and endless paperwork and its lovely to see members participate and enjoy the drive. Making it all worthwhile! Thank you to my family members assisting in the planning and setting up on the day. I have forwarded our thanks on behalf of the club members to Petworth Park and the Leconfield Estate with our donations. We hope to be able to organise another wonderful drive again next year. Happy Driving… ”
